Priyonto Zaman from Bangladesh in documentary series "A Ton Âge"
Priyonto Zaman is studying cinema at La Sorbonne.
Caroline Gillet met Priyonto for the first time in Bangladesh when he was 20 years old. There he experienced fear of police abuse. He wanted a coup but also to become a filmmaker. As he was passionate about the films of Rémi Bezançon, he decided to learn French and go to Mali with the Blue Helmets (Peacekeeper of UN Mission) to finance his studies in film production. This year, Priyonto has finally arrived in Paris. He now speaks French perfectly and is studying cinema at La Sorbonne. He preserves his love for his work. "A Ton Âge" decided to organize a meeting between him and Rémi Bezançon.
"A Ton Âge" is a documentary series in which Caroline Gillet tries to discover the time that has passed and the questions that inhabit us, As like, What is being transmitted? What is given to us? When does one become an adult? How, at different times in a lifetime, shall we apprehend the relationship to parents, love, body, origins or freedom?
This is what is explored in the summer season of "A Ton Âge" through portraits that are sometimes realized over several years.
